Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm is one of the education centers operated by the National Audubon Society. We are located ten miles north of Dayton, Ohio. Aullwood Farm is a working organic farm, with programs designed primarily for elementary school children. The farm is certified organic and approximately 85 acres in size: 60 acres pasture/crops, 15 acres of woods, 10 acres of barns and buildings and a 48’ x 60’ seasonal organic garden. The farm supports Aullwood’s mission of providing activities that increase our visitors’ understanding and preservation of the planet by fulfilling the vision to be a “model of sustainable organic agriculture.” Unique among education farms, Aullwood demonstrates organic and sustainable techniques, interprets the resulting farm environment for thousands of visitors yearly and direct markets the plant and animal products to our community. While education is the main “product” at the farm, growing and selling food in a setting that encourages self-guided exploration provides unique opportunities for people to learn about sustainable agriculture.
