Come and visit Aullwood's Marie S. Aull Education Center to enjoy the interactive educational exhibits, live animals, and many more things to see, hear, smell, and touch. Marie S. Aull gave Aullwood to the Miami Valley and the National Audubon Society in 1957. It was her dream to create a beautiful wildlife sanctuary and one of the Midwest's first nature centers.

Today, more than fifty years after Marie Aull's gift, the Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm continues to be an enjoyable and exciting place to visit. With over 200 acres of nature sanctuary with six miles of trails through prairie, forests, marsh, ponds, and meadows, Aullwood provides experiences and activities that increase understanding and preservation of the planet through education, research, and recreation.
During the 2008-09 school year, 20,900 children discovered nature, conservation and farming through field trips or special classes at Aullwood! In addition, 44,800 students participated in Aullwood REACHES (Real Experiences Arouse Curiosity, Helping Everyone Succeed) outreach programs or weeklong art or music residencies. These 65,700 youngsters came from 12 counties, 36 school systems and 171 schools or educational facilities. This number sets a new record for young lives touched by our special programs!

Glacial Erratics
Near the stream just down from the Center Building you will find an assembly of rocks. These are rocks brought by the Wisconsonian glacier 20,000 years ago (more or less). They are not like our bedrock. This part of Ohio, like many glaciated regions, is rich with these boulders from farther north.
