Adopt-A-Puffin for your Special Valentine!

Long-lasting relationships are not unique to humans. Puffins also often have remarkable faithfulness to their mates.

This year celebrate someone special for Valentine’s Day by adopting a puffin for them. Or, make a donation to Project Puffin in honor of, or in memory of someone special. Your gift will help Maine puffins by permitting us to hire summer seabird stewards to live on their islands and protect them.

Adoption recipients will receive a biography and photo of their puffin, an adoption certificate, and the option of receiving a book of the story of Project Puffin. To adopt a puffin, click HERE. To donate in honor or in memory of someone, click HERE.

PS: Please let us know that you are making a Valentine’s Day adoption in the “Special Shipping Instructions” box when entering your information. You can also tell us in the same box if you want the adoption sent directly to you so you can present the adoption to your special someone. Click HERE to see a photo gallery of people who had some fun making them and along with the Project Puffin Visitor Center staff, participated in the 3rd year of the "Pies on Parade" event. This is an event in which Rockland, ME businesses serve up pies to raise money for the local area food pantry. The PPVC had some good helpers to help assemble the hundreds of cute Cream Puffin sweetie pies! Approx. 37 of the confections were distributed on Saturday during the special "package deal" movie screenings, and on Sunday at least 250 puffins were munched by guests. Be sure to make some for YOUR sweetie for Valentine's Day.
