Make a difference for seabirds on May 31, 2012

Correctly guess the number of bird species that we will see on Birdathon day, and win a limited edition, signed and numbered lithograph by Swedish artist Karl Mårtens. This print is from a series of 150 prints.

Correctly guess the total number of puffins that we will see on Birdathon day and win a Puffin Planter, signed & dated by artist Robert DuLong. The planter can hold a pot approximately 5” in diameter. Planter contents not included.

Project Puffin staff, researchers and volunteers will devote May 31st to birdwatching on our seabird sanctuaries and across the state of Maine. We’ll compile the results and report back the total number of species and the total number of puffins that we see.

Submissions postmarked by May 31, 2012 will be eligible for the prizes listed above! For both prizes, the earliest postmark or online date will determine the winner in the event of a tie. Also, if no-one guesses correctly, the person with the guess closest to the actual number will win.

Your pledge or gift is tax-deductible. A gift is not required to enter the contest, but we hope you will help!

Our online Birdathon system accepts both Birdathon donations and payments for pledges which we will invoice following the Birdathon. To participate in the Birdathon without a gift, download the pledge form and mail or fax it to us with your guesses for the number of puffins and the number of species.
