The Virginia IBA Program has identified 20 IBAs since 2002 representing all regions of the state and highlighting the tremendous habitat and species diversity that Virginia has to offer. These sites cover more than 12% of the Commonwealth and support over 100 at-risk species. They are truly special places for birds!

The Virginia IBA Program is currently working with private landowners to conserve land in the Culpeper Basin Important Bird Area. Download brochure for more details.
